Of all the places you could be right now, I’m really glad you’re here.

My portfolio reflects the passions and projects I’ve dedicated myself to. In May 2023 I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish Studies from American University. The following year, I completed my master’s in Sociology Research & Practice at AU, where I focused mon sexual and reproductive health, Black maternal health and wellness, HIV/AIDS, sexual health disparities, and the social determinants of health. As a doctoral student, I examine Black American women’s susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), exploring the sociocultural factors that contribute to this risk. You can read several of my passion pieces here.

Born and raised in Hartford County, Connecticut, I now live and work in the Baltimore-Washington, DC metropolitan area. My work largely centers on wellness and care for Black and brown women because I firmly believe that marginalized women are deserving of complete ownership—bodily autonomy—over themselves. To raise awareness around these issues, I directed a digital creative advocacy project for wellness and reproductive justice titled What We Water. Archived in 2024, What We Water served as an expressive and creative space that blended my personal, academic, and professional interests into an expressive and creative space to advocate for Black and brown women’s reproductive health and wellness.
